1. Tell us about yourself. What series? How old are you? etc.
I am eight years old, almost 9. I race in the Laurens County Speedway Summer Points Series in Dexter, GA and the WKA Georgia Division Dirt Series in Purple Plate go-karts. I love racing and everything about it.
2. What inspired you to race?
I knew I wanted to race after I went to my first Truck series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway when I was 5. I got interested in racing dirt track go karts after I went to some races up in Pennsylvania. They let me take a Kid Kart out on the track for a test ride and I was hooked! After that I kept I begging my Dad to buy me a Dirt Track go-kart, which he finally did.
3. What do you enjoy most about racing?
The best part of racing is the competition. I love to win.
4. What is the hardest part of racing for you?
Figuring out how to relax when the feature is over, because I am so pumped up from the race.
5. How long have you been racing?
I started racing when I was 6 years old, running purple plate.
6. What's it like to be called a champion?
Pretty cool. It's like a door opens to a whole 'nother world. I am secure to win both the LSC Summer Points Series and the WKA Georgia Division Dirt Series championships this year, as long as I race the final races, regardless of where I place
7. What advice would you give to someone trying to get into racing?
Buy a go-kart and start racing, lol.
Learn by asking other people who race and getting lots of seat time.
The best way to learn is to REALLY watch other people race, watching to learn where the groove is, how slick the track is, and
watching the amount of steer you need to put into make the turn.
And most importantly, never give up.
8. Who do you look up to the most in racing?
Ryan Newman!!! Ryan learned to race on dirt and now is a great NASCAR driver. I would love to meet him someday!
9.What are your goals for the rest of the 2010 season?
Finish up the LCS Summer Points Series and the WKA Georgia Divison Dirt Series, winning both championships.
10.Where do you see yourself in five years or so?
I see myself racing Legends cars in the Pro Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Maybe running the Outlaws on dirt somewhere. Someday I hope I am good enough to be a NASCAR driver.
11. Do you have anybody you would like to thank?
Absolutely! God for making well enough to be able to race. My crew chief Dad, who is the best! My sponsor, Mike Martin and Martin Welding for helping us out this year. And APFED for letting me host the Racing for a Cause campaign.
